Picture
Name: Crystal Brown

Age: 25

Species: Human-Betazoid/Bejoran

Gender: Female

Height: 5’10

Weight: 200

Eyes: Blue & Green

Hair Color: Golden Blond

Rank: Chief Intelligence officer Lieutenant Commander

Appearance:

Mysterious blue eyes that swirl with green, some have  gotten lost while staring into them. Crystal seems like an average blond haired young woman. She is somewhat slender in appearance and muscular in both her arms and legs, though she really doesn’t work out very much. When not in uniform she dresses in soft tones, blues, purples, occasionally reds and even more rarely pinks. Her face is slightly more rounded, but when she smiles it tends to turn a few heads her way. Though she doesn’t dress or act to stick out; somehow she still seems to.

Personality:

Crystal is a dedicated person. Whatever she sets her mind to, she will do it. She's not really a tomboy, but not girly enough to be a girly girl. Her mother once told her she was as loyal as a dog, as hard working as an ant and as crafty as a serpent. Though Crystal will argue with these comparisons, she doesn’t dare dispute what mom says. She will never betray a friend or a promise and would die to do her duty.

Strength: Kind, a hard worker, never quits and loves to make the most of every moment.

Weakness: Sometimes too naive/trusting, afraid of being underwater and gets nauseated on small air craft.

Ambitions:

To discover who and what she really is and find new adventures making as many friends as she can.

Hobbies and Interests:

Writing and drawing, anything creative really and learning new things.

Languages: English

Family:

Father: Birth Parent: Unknown, Earth parent Ethan Brown
Mother: Birth Parent: Unknown, Earth Parent Pearl Brown
Brother: Birth: Unknown, Earth: Have none
Sisters: Birth: Unknown, Earth: Have none
Other Relatives: Birth: Unknown, Earth: Some cousins, aunts and uncles.

History: (23 years in a nut shell)

Crystal was raised as a city girl, her father was a illustrious Professor and her mother a legendary Writer. Crystal was expected to have greatness in her as well, but unlike her father she chose not to engage in public speaking. Not out of shyness or fear, but she had no desire to be on stage and talk to the world. She did take after her mother though. She always loved to write and draw and with the help of her mom by the age of twelve she had created her own cartoon series, by 13 she had made comics, books and action figures, and by 14 she had expanded her knowledge and delved into understanding computers. (Some would say she became obsessed).

She put some trusted friends in charge of her stories, as she had already written 6 seasons worth, and decided she wanted to ‘Live’ the adventure she wrote about. Her dad and mom encouraged her in her decision. Her father had served on a Ship when he was younger and after asking some good friends to pull strings on her 15th birthday she was tested and accepted into the ‘Star Fleet Academy’. Though she was in for a shock. After her physical she was denied access to her files. Fortunately she was good with computers so she easily accessed her data. She was devastated when she discovered that not only was she adopted, but she wasn’t even fully human. She was a combination of three species, but before she could read in depth, her access had been detected and she was booted from the system. She was broken hearted; she tried to shove the doubts and endless questions from her mind the “Who am I?” “What am I?” “Why didn’t my parents tell me?”. Thankfully Star Fleet didn’t know who had gain access to the system and gladly welcomed her.

Crystal in no time, fell in love with the academy, diving deeper and deeper into her studies she couldn’t get enough. She didn’t want to leave, so when it was time to graduate she just went back in, the first four years she Majored in Galaxy and minored in Counseling, feeling it would help her do her job best. Her parents had called her to come home; she had by this point forgiven them and decided not to tell her parents that she knew. Though one day she would confront them… now was the time to focus on her education. She didn’t come home, but she made sure to contact them by Vid’s often.

During the next four years she minored in engineering, medical, operations and security, she did a little bit of flight stuff, but quickly found out she would get air sick; not seriously, but she would feel miserable. So from then on she did her best to avoid the small crafts, after a full 8 years at the academy she was ready to join a ship.

Finally, she paid a visit to her family. Saying goodbye and giving her latest scripts so they could quit doing reruns. Now they could keep the show going another four years or so. It was difficult, but she sat her parents down to tell them she knew she was adopted, but as she stared into their eyes, she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She just hugged them and went back to her job at the Space station. Who knows, maybe she’ll meet one of… whatever she is somewhere out there someday…maybe?

After the initial 4 years at the academy she was granted the privilege to work from the local Intel office, carrying out various tasks, gathering information, simple questioning, to in-depth interrogations. She even received promotions in the process. Once her next 4 years at the Academy were finished, and her trip home was completed, she immediately upon return placed an applications to join a ship and continued to serve at the space station until she was assigned.

Once assigned she was thrown into the thick of the action dealing with a mess about a plague right off the bat. Having been told she was there more for a diplomatic purpose, but since the previous Chief of Intelligence had left them high and dry she was requested by the Captain to stay. During her time on the ship she made friends and enemies. Encountered many dangers and after a crazy encounter through some type of space anomaly and their even more perilous journey back to safer space, she was requested by Star Fleet to return with all of her data that she had obtained.

With a few other members also receiving new orders they set out to a nearby space station. Time seemed to fly while there. Crystal lost track of time, but when she was given the choice to serve on a ship again she all but jumped at the opportunity. The USS Versatile wasn’t necessarily the most glamorous ship around, but it was a crew. A place for Crystal to spread her wings and learn. She was pleasantly surprised when she saw a few more familiar faces on board. She soon discovered this was a newer vessel and crew members from vessels from all over star fleet were being brought in to help fill the crew out.

Though Crystal thought it suspicious they would send such a new ship to that particular region, she quickly discovered this was an experimental ship, developed by Star Fleet and this was the test voyage. They were only a few weeks into their voyage when That ship appeared and as if annoyed by the USS Versatile’s existence, fired then vanished. Everything went dark and everyone didn’t awaken until weeks later. The doctors were stumped and the Engineers were rattled. While the ship was restless. Then word got around about making a landing that turned into a crash.

Crystal was hurt, but not serious. A concussion and some bad bruises and cuts, but compared to most that was nothing. The Bridge crew appeared to have all perished in the crash. She didn’t typically serve on the bridge so she was one of the only high ranking officers left. Thus responsibility of the ship fell to her and the search for survivors began…
