Quote: “I don't believe in the kind of magic in my books. But I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book.” ― J.K. Rowling
The Petition:
"These pages contain all of the knowledge, I have gathered concerning the abductions of the youth. If you have found this, then I too have become one of those missing. Please take this to someone who will use it and continue from where I left off. Please for the sake of our future do not discard this. Read what lies within and if you will not continue my mission, take it to one who will. I beg of you, don’t let this dark enemy win."
Our World:
“A world of wonder and mystery, there are four main forces that keep the balance; humans, elves, dwarves and monsters.
Our land is normally at peace, but recently there have been stirrings. Monsters have grown bolder, attacking towns and villages near the highways, instead of farmers and travelers in rural locations. There are stories of monsters even going as far as to abduct youths, boys and girls. It is rumored that the monsters are serving a master, someone that seeks these children for dark purposes."

The Rumors:
"In a small village called Sherry Stone, not all was quite right. A strange sound floated on the winds in the dead of night. While most slept, only the night guards and a few others were awake. A strange melody wafted through the air, all who heard it had their eyes grow heavy and one by one fell into a deep slumber.
A caravan reported seeing ‘shadows’ comb the village, as a thick mist masked their purpose. As quickly as the mist and shadows had rolled in, they had vanished. When the villagers awoke they would realize that they had been plundered. Not of gold, silver, food or wood, but of their most prized possessions of all, their children.
In another village much further away something similar happened. A dense fog rolled in and confusion set on the people. This time large monstrous beings came. A resistance was put up, but soon the people were dealt with. Like always; there were no deaths. The children and young adults all missing, and no one could recall exactly what happened.
Similar abductions have taken place in numerous small towns and villages. These encounters have grown ever closer to larger cities and even kingdoms. People from fear have started to relocate their children or force them to join the army thinking that would protect them."

The Families:
In a small tavern a man spoke anxiously with his friend. “Did you hear Nathan? An entire school has now vanished, these disappearances are growing worse by the day!”
Nathan rolled his eyes. “That school has been attacked by monsters since the day it was founded, are you really surprised? Don’t tell me you’re that gullible? Believing those idiotic rumors?”
"How dare you?" A new man approached and slammed his hand on the table. “My son is one of them, that went missing. So don’t you dare say it isn’t true!”
The first man rose and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Jessie, calm down. Nathan didn’t mean anything by it he—”
Nathan looked to Jessie with a glare. “Quiet Matthew.” He sipped his drink then sat it down. “I’m sorry for your loss, but even if these rumors were true, your boy is well over twenty and you say he’s been taken? Everyone around here knows that only the young children are vanishing.”
"You—" Jessie lunged at him.
Matthew hooked his arms around Jessie's shoulders. "It's not worth it."
Jessie struggled in Matthews grasp. “You know nothing. Youth of all ages have been taken, kids over the age of twenty on their way to join the army were robbed of most their group.” He roared.
Matthew held on to Jessie. “He’s right, entire schools of kids, people up to the age of twenty-eight have been taken." He released Jessie as he calmed. "No blood was found and anyone over that age was left.”
Nathan shook his head. “Not sure what you two have been drinking, but you might want to cut down.”
Jessie kicked over a chair. “He’s telling the truth, this one girl, a twenty-nine year old sister who tagged along with her brother and his class. She was found unconscious in the middle of the woods, her and the teachers all with no memory and the missing students! The only thing the girl remembered was being with her brother and then waking up.”
Matthew nodded. “Yes and several of the clergy were found in similar fashion when their orphanage was cleared out, everyone was asleep and remembered nothing that occurred, just the before and after.”

Observations of mysterious attackers:
“Relying on assassin tactics, they sneak and infiltrate. They are cunning, few have seen them and even fewer retain whatever was seen. The evidence that has been gathered leads me to believe they use a great range of devices; chemicals, darts and dark arts. All aimed at disabling, yet not killing. Ranging from deep sleep, paralysis, trances or zombie like states.
They are fast and accurate, but that’s just the infiltration force. There are others built for more brutal combat. They are powerful and numerous. The brain behind this makes them all the more dangerous. Whoever leads them, not just generals, but there must be a leader over the generals. A master mind over all these forces. Whoever that maybe, that entity is the greatest threat of all.

Final Thoughts:
“I’ve hit another wall. The abductions are becoming more frequent, and I’m no closer to finding out the truth. It’s not like I was hired to help, but I can’t just sit by and go about my life while this happens, forget the fact that I'm within that age group. I’m more concerned about the future of our world. If all the next generation are taken, there is no future.
I need help. I need information. I need so much, there has to be more that hasn't been seen. Investigations throughout all the kingdoms have turned up nothing. No one is that perfect, something has been over looked or thought about in the wrong way. There has to be a solution, whatever the answer is, I won’t give up until I find it. If not for the families that have had their children stolen… Then for the future."
