What do you enjoy doing and why?
I often like to be alone to write. God has put a dream in me to write novels, movies, comics, and video games that Christians and Non-Christians alike can enjoy. Stories with no nudity or cursing, but have humor, deep stories as well as amazing action/adventures.
What are some other things you love and why?
I love Waterfalls; like a constant majestic rain, wolves; a reminder of fierce devotion and beauty, and angels (not fat naked baby ones, mighty warrior ones that have swords of flame and are like lightning, like in the Bible. I've always fancied a pair of wings! (-; ) I love horses; a soulful, devoted ally to humans, (Unfortunately I have never been able to ride one (As of 2020). I hope to one day), I also love birds; defying gravity and constantly pushing further.
You said a lot about animals. Do you have any pets?
I had two dogs one passed away in April 2020, she was/is my baby. It was like loosing my daughter. I still have the other dog and she and I both miss her, however we love each other very much.
What sorts of movies/TV shows do you like?
Fantasy is my favorite. Most all of it. I still like kids shows though, something about the older ones from when I was little bring back good memories. I like horror movies, but only certain ones. Mostly older horror as opposed to the stuff out today. (Ask me and I can rattle off a list of which ones I do like), I watch anime, cartoons, Disney, Sci-Fi, and action. Comedy... it depends. I don't like certain types of humor. I also like some British TV shows like “Sherlock” and “Dr. Who” Not to mention all the new Superhero shows and most crime shows like “CSI”, “Criminal Minds”, “Numbers”, etc...
What was life like growing up?
I'm an only child, but I did have cousins. We were close growing up, but most grew busy and soon had families which made it hard to spend much time with them. I got lost in creating music videos on our computer, and playign games, but when at last i was exposed to the internet in full, I gained a strong desire to write, and RP with people online.
Was it hard growing up as an only child?
Well yes and no.
Yes it was hard at times. I couldn't get away with anything and I felt lonely a lot. I was close with my cousins, they were like siblings I saw weekly or best friends.
Are you currently dating?
Yes. Before my current boyfriend I had never had a boyfriend or went on a date. Though I was never the type who wanted a boyfriend just to have one. I after a long time of being sad and struggling I decided I wouldn't date someone until I'm friends with them and know them. I waited a long time for my first kiss, I didn't want to kiss a guy just to have been kissed. It all needed to mean something. Dating now is for the purpose of getting married and spending our lives together forever.
What is your day time job?
My alter ego as it were, is that of an System Administrator, at our companies Logistics department. I manage a large Inventory database, monitor package tracking systems, measure Quality assurance, and develop training materials/procedures.
Do you ever get bored and if so what do you do?
I do get bored, but I try to create things to help with my work, or failing that listening to soundtracks from Video games/movies or listening to audio books.
When not at work, I also build with Legos, play building games like Minecraft and the like.
You said Audio Books, What kinds do you like?
I prefer Fiction. Fantasy and Sci-Fi especially, but I like others as well. Aside from the Bible it's rare for me to read much non-fiction, though I do read a few things here and there.
What bothers you?
I get annoyed with some RPers (Roleplayers) because they make everything too cute or happy go lucky. I don't mind those things at times, but more often than not I like my stories full of action; kidnapping, brainwashing, and torture/interrogation. I don't like gross brutalities like Saw, but I like dark and serious.
I even like the bad guys to win at times, or the heroes to be trapped/loosing for a time. I became a writer dominantly from a desire to see different things happen in already established worlds and to allow myself to exist in those worlds. I want there to be happy endings, but I don't want it to be perfect all the time or over look scars the hero/heroine may get (physical/psychological or spiritual).
How does being a Christian impact your writing?
I am a Christian, but I'm not what some people think that means.
I don't hate anyone, but I want everyone to know what an amazing experience it is to have a personal relationship with a God who cares for every area of our lives and desires to have a face to face relationship with us.
Simply put, I believe the Bible is the living Word of God and everything within it is true. That it's not only the greatest history book ever (collaborated by tons of historians, journals, etc... consistently corroborating itself over the span of thousands of year throughout history), but is the path to salvation and hope. Through Jesus Christ who died not only to atone for all sin, but to enable mankind to have an intimate relationship with our Creator and Heavenly Father.
You said that your different from how some view Christians, can you explain?
There are many who say they are Christians; some who won't go to church at all (For many reasons some from genuine hurt, others from personal fear), some who never heard the term born again or even invited Jesus into their hearts. People than won't read their bibles because it's too holy to touch.
The church is important. There is no place more prayerfully prepared for; fellowship, relationship, worship, healing and learning. That said I still need to be the church when I'm outside those four walls. As the Bible says if I perform miracles and have all knowledge and speak with you words of angels, but do not love I have nothing and have gone nowhere.
Its not just about believing in the Bible, but living like I believe. As scripture says in James “Faith without works is dead”
When has someone judged you because of your own faith?
Plenty of times, but there was one time when I was chatting on Skype with some friends, I understand that people cuss and I asked if they would please not say blasphemies (Saying God’s name as a curse). I didn’t say they couldn’t say any other curse words (Even though I don’t like them), but cursing God is equal to cursing my mom or dad (Heavenly Father). I didn’t tell them they weren’t allowed or preach. I asked out of respect for me that they don’t around me, but if they insisted I would leave.
They launched into a defensive statement on the chemical benefits and how they should be allowed to cuss and my response each time was. “I don’t like it.”, “I don’t like it.” I didn’t beat him up with the Bible and eventually they grew quiet. After I spoke with my friend who wasn’t cursing to ask if he was mad. She said yes and that he felt I was judging him. I laughed and said, “It’s funny that people say Christians shove their beliefs down their throats, but it was him who was trying to force me to agree with his belief that cursing was fine and that I should join in.” The fact was he was doing the very thing he was accusing me of.
It surprises me how many people once they learn I am a Christian instantly grow defensive, start arguments and without bothering to get to know me decided they don’t like me for that fact alone. (And they say Christian’s are prejudice). I asked for respect, not to make him change. Yet he was getting angry and trying to get me to agree with him. Picking a fight and not listening or being willing to respect me as a person. He couldn't get past 'Christian'.
I can honestly say people who have various beliefs from Atheism to a pantheon of deities are welcome as my friends. I don’t agree and will answer honestly about my beliefs, but I can get along with anyone as long as we show mutual respect toward each other and share about our individual faiths without hate.
Why do you think people do this?
I could be wrong, but I feel it's two reasons:
False Christians; Just as I can claim I’m the president of the United States. People can claim their are Christians, but really aren’t. There are many hateful people in the world that do horrible acts like protesting solider funerals, or preaching hate and that God was the one that caused horrible disasters. It’s no wonder people dislike the name “Christian” They come off as hateful, cruel individuals. It couldn’t be more obvious these people have never had a true encounter with the Living God, let alone received the “Love”, “Forgiveness” and “Grace” of His Son. [I’m not saying Christians are perfect, we all mess up, but resorting to acts of hate and cruelty on a regular and reoccurring basis? That’s not what God commands or stands for.]
Denial; Some people though they say they don’t believe in God must or else they wouldn’t get so mad when He’s spoke about. I mean how many times do people get so violent when we talk about Unicorns, Aliens, Ghosts, or Fairies? But say the name of God and watch out! They are in denial, because you don’t get enraged and furious over something if you truly believe its fiction.
Give a memory: The perfect moment.
Something that makes me happy... strangely the first thing that came to mind was this feeling I get. Imagine if you will the day is ending the sun starting to set and the air feels slightly moist, either because it's recently rained or about to. The wind picks up bringing a soothing coolness to you. The air tastes crisp and as you stare at the gorgeous setting sunlight in the sky. That's when you feel everything that movies, books of fantasy/magic is right there and tangible. It's real and in that moment you are in another world. Breath it in deep. Breath...
